This is too good to wait until next Tuesday to post. After more than 98K words and several months, Zen and I have finished the first draft of Broken.
THIS is that joy in writing that I love. From the days where we wrote these two characters, wondering if anyone would care to read it, one of us would say to the other, “who cares, we’re writing for ourselves.”
Writing for the joy of the craft, for the giddy feeling that I STILL haven’t gotten over since seeing those last few words while drinking my first cup of coffee.
I am immeasurably proud of what we’ve accomplished. I am immeasurably proud of my coauthor, and once this story goes through its edits, I cannot wait to share the proof of what I’ve known for years – that Zen’s an amazing author, and that this story is going to be awesome.
